Tuesday: Vocab in our journal using our new digital book; Controlled experiment journal entry; Scientific Method practice assignment (homework if you do not finish in class)

Wednesday: Scientific Method Digital Flip book

Thursday: Review what we have learned; Quizizz practice questions

HW: Study for our test

Friday: Test over what we have learned so far (study your journal and your review)

Honors Biology Lesson Plans:

Monday: Scientific Method journal entry; Complete the 5 second rule lab; Get on the online book

HW: pages 6-7 in your journal are due by Wednesday

Tuesday: Controlled experiment and CER journal entry; Variables Drag and Drop assignment

Wednesday: p. 6-7 are due; Cricket virtual lab

HW: Complete the virtual lab if you don’t finish in class

Thursday: Intro to Biology discussion; Work on pages 11-12 in your journal

Friday: Review and Practice Quizizz

HW: Study for our test on Monday! (use your journal and review)

Science Grading Policy 2024-2025

I am looking forward to a great first week at WOHS! Please encourage your students to ask questions if they don’t know what to do or where to go. The doors unlock at 7:30 AM each day, and the bell rings at 7:50 to tell them to start heading to their first period.

HW: Get syllabus and safety contract signed by Friday

Thursday: Lab Safety Review and Classroom “Tour”; Lab Equipment Scavenger Hunt

Friday: Lab Equipment Review in journal (teacher-provided); Bacteria discussion; 5-second rule lab setup (we will check results after the weekend)

I wanted to go ahead and post this list of supplies for anyone who is shopping early!

I will update it when we have our first science department meeting when teachers go back to school, but I don’t think it will change much if any.

Personal Supplies:

Pencils/Pens

School-supplied chromebook

Headphones/earbuds

Folder to keep handouts (for Biology specifically)

Classroom supplies to donate:

2 rolls of paper towels and if possible, a box of disposable gloves for labs. (If you happen to come across XL gloves, that would be great to get some that size since some of my guys do not fit in the typical one size fits most!)
